Each year West Chester University is proud to celebrate women entrepreneurship. The Cottrell Center hosts various activities and workshops to support entrepreneurs, including the annual WCU Women’s Entrepreneurship Conference. This signature event provides an opportunity to make new connections and explore the endless possibilities that come with being an entrepreneur. This conference is open to all students, faculty, staff, and the general public.

This year marks the 13th Anniversary of the WCU Women’s Entrepreneurship Conference. The theme of this year’s conference is Lead Forward 2026 – Navigating Change, Unlocking Opportunity, Leading with Influence.

This year the Chamber Alliance of Chester County is partnering with WCU to develop the programming for this year’s conference. Conference participants will attend two breakout sessions.

This year’s keynote speaker is Fotini Iconomopoulos. There will also be a Fireside Chat with Joyel Crawford and Laura Manion

The conference is co-hosted by The Cottrell Entrepreneurship Center and The Chamber Alliance of Chester County. The presenting sponsor of the conference is Citadel Credit Union and gold sponsor is Enterprise Mobility.

The 2025 Economic Impact of Nonprofits Report: Using Data When Engaging Key Stakeholders

Nonprofits provide much needed support for neighborhoods and communities and provide a place for community members to give back.  And we are more than “just” a feel-good sector; we provide significant economic infrastructure for the Commonwealth.  This discussion will review the critical economic datapoints that we can use to inform our conversations with our lawmakers, funders, and the public.

Presented by:  Anne Gingerich, Executive Director, PANO
Since 2013, Anne has grown the PANO’s programming and presence in the Commonwealth – offering training, consulting services, and Help Desk (askPANO) support to address all things needed for strong nonprofit governance and management. She has further deepened nonprofit advocacy engagement by linking arms with other statewide advocacy organizations and the National Council of Nonprofits. With the support of PANO’s lobbyist, PANO has become a known name at the state capitol, and by members of Pennsylvania’s congressional delegation.

Anne approaches all her work from a systems approach, engaging multiple individuals and groups to identify and implement collaborative solutions to community problems. She holds a firm vision that if all 817,000 individuals working for the 49,000 Pennsylvania nonprofits can link arms in a cohesive advocacy strategy, we can change the way our government supports and engages with those most vulnerable.
